Overview

Spatial RDP includes a server application running on an Apple computer and a Vision Pro client application. For normal operation, the Spatial RDP server and the Vision Pro client app must run under the same local area network (LAN).

LAN and Network Requirements

The server and Vision Pro client discover and communicate with each other inside the LAN. To ensure proper discovery and connection, please make sure your network allows the required local network traffic.

Important: If mDNS, UDP, or QUIC traffic is blocked, the Vision Pro client may fail to discover the server, may fail to connect, or may experience poor streaming performance.

Before Connecting from Vision Pro

Before the Vision Pro client connects to the Spatial RDP server, the user should configure the server access settings.

A unique machine remote access name helps the Vision Pro client identify the correct server when multiple Spatial RDP servers are running on the same network.

Network Bandwidth Test

The Vision Pro client app includes a tool to test network bandwidth between the Spatial RDP server and the Vision Pro client. It is recommended that you run this test before starting a remote session, especially when using a new router, mesh network, Wi-Fi environment, or server location.

For the best experience, make sure there is enough available network bandwidth between the server and the Vision Pro client. Insufficient bandwidth may cause increased latency, reduced image quality, stuttering, or connection instability.
